Rich history
Beautifully, but above all conveniently located on the Kagerplassen is Royal Van Lent's oldest shipyard. History has been written here since 1849. In the past eighty years the yard has specialised in yacht building in steel and aluminum. Today, the yard maintains its world reputation as a builder of luxury motor yachts. Every year an average of two yachts are delivered, between 70 and 100 meters.
A world name is earned over the years, and that is what Van Lent does; by always surprising customers with unique beauty, modern comfort and smart innovation. Custom built, so entirely according to the customer's wishes.
Everything in one yard
The shipyard on Kaag is characterised by the multitude of disciplines that work alongside and with each other at one location. From carpenter to pipe fitter, from work planner to engineer: every relevant craftsmanship is represented. The core of the builders consists of a group of permanently employed professionals. Co-makers with niche expertise and temporary workers provide valued reinforcement at regular intervals. Each discipline has its own modern equipped workshop or office.
Experience alongside new knowledge and skills
The 300 or so professionals at Kaag are bursting with experience. They pass it on to the younger generation, who in turn contribute new knowledge and skills. This is just as welcome. The mix creates insights and ideas that often inspire improved working methods or innovation in construction. And that often makes the work of professionals even more fun.
