Cindy began her career at Van Der Loo Yacht Interiors as an intern. She did this internship as part of her education at the Wood and Furniture College in Rotterdam. "That was a very pleasant internship period, so after completing my education I applied for a job at Feadship and started in the Furniture Department. Here I have been working on very challenging projects for five years now. I have been working as a Planner for two. Our department ensures that all projects stay on schedule as much as possible. I really have an advisory, signaling and de-escalating role in which I give all the departments involved the right information so that everyone can meet their own deadline."
“It really is a nice company. The cooperation with colleagues is fun, I'm still learning a lot and I really enjoy everything we make here together." Her first Feadship as a joiner (809) and planner (819) have one thing in common: they belong to the same owner. But her favorite Feadship is project 812, "That's where I worked on the luxury staircase. During that time I was able to learn an enormous amount and gain immense experience. Project 815 was also very special. During this project I worked on a bar with a top made of bog oak. The wood had been in a swamp for 300 years, giving it a very unique look. But that also meant that I had to be very careful with it, there was no room for mistakes. Fortunately, it all went well."
For Cindy, her career at VDL is all about development. "It is very cool to take your knowledge and experience gained to improve processes within the organization. There is a lot of room to develop yourself and to help Van Der Loo Yacht Interiors move forward. It really is a beautiful company. The cooperation with colleagues is fun, I'm still learning a lot and really enjoy everything we make here together."
